Competition - Carpathia Etno Design
Do you deal with design, drawing, patterning or graphics? Are you thirsty for new inspiration? Take part in our CarpathiaEtnoDesign competition!
The competition task is to design an original pattern referring to the design traditions of the Polish-Slovak borderland and the inhabitants of the former Carpathians. Take a look at the work of Lemkos, Boykos, Pogórzans, Dolinians, the people of Saris, Zemplín and Zamagurie and design your own pattern, drawing inspiration from one or more of these cultures.
We are waiting for the works until July 10, 2021. The winning design will be selected by a competition committee composed, among others, of ethnography and design experts. The winners will present their works at the ceremonial final gala and the winning design will be used to create "Carpathian caskets". They will include everyday items, which will also be marked with the winning design. Take part in the competition and protect the rich cultural heritage of the borderland from oblivion with us. Polish-Slovak!
The competition is organized as part of the "EtnoCarpathia" project co-financed by the Interreg VA Poland-Slovakia Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020 and by the National Institute of Freedom - Center for Civil Society Development from the Civic Organization Development Program for 2018-2030.
