Carpathian media as the key to promoting cross-border cooperation
The project "Carpathian media as a key to the promotion of cross-border cooperation within the Carpathian Euroregion" implemented in partnership with the Association of local governments "Euroregion Carpathians - Ukraine" and the West-Ukrainian Youth Journalism Foundation for Ecological and Tourist Information "WETI" co-financed by the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the competition entitled "Cooperation in the field of public diplomacy 2013".
Overall goal
The project entitled "Carpathian media as the key to the promotion of cross-border cooperation within the Carpathian Euroregion" assumes increasing the quality of information on regional development and cross-border cooperation by increasing the level of cooperation of the Carpathian media in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions within the Carpathian Euroregion. The project provides for training representatives of Ukrainian and Polish media on obtaining external financing sources and writing related projects. The main activity in the project is to conduct the Carpathian Media Forum, which will be attended by representatives of both countries. The result of the project will be the establishment of the Carpathian Media Council in order to maintain the cross-border cooperation of the above-mentioned media established during the project implementation and the initiation of new joint ventures, e.g. in the form of joint projects.
Target group:
media industry entities, including journalists from regional TV stations, regional radio stations; Internet media, news agencies and editorial offices of newspapers from the cross-border area of the Podkarpacie voivodship and the Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi oblasts.
