The geographical location and the multitude of tourist and natural values are the common denominator of the project partners. In addition, Poland and Slovakia share a common Slavic, Carpathian tradition, and it is in this aspect that both partner cities look for their chance for success. Appropriate, large-scale promotion allowed to increase the interest in both regions. The activities of the project were aimed at promoting the Ustrzyki Dolne (Poland) and Giraltoviec (Slovakia) regions on the forum of European countries by creating new channels for the distribution of tourist information and promotion, and thus widening the circle of potential recipients of the tourist offer of both regions.

The main activities carried out under the project:

• Participation of representatives of Ustrzyki Dolne Commune and Giraltovce Commune in tourist fairs . As a result of the need to jointly promote the cultural and natural heritage, a delegation from the Ustrzyki Dolne commune and the city of Giraltovce took part in the prestigious Oslo tourism fair - REISELIVS MESSEN and in Brussels SALON DES VACANCES. Joint promotion was possible due to the same cultural and natural origin, which results from the geographical location of these two partner cities on the line of the Carpathians. During the fair, promotional films presenting the regions, their natural potential and cultural heritage were screened. Participation in the fair was the most valuable marketing tool, which can be confirmed by attendance. A total of 42,360 people visited the Reiselivsmessen fair in Oslo, while the fair in Brussels - about 105,620 potential tourists interested in the Polish-Slovak border region.
• Organization of a Polish-Slovak promotional picnic in Ustrzyki Dolne in the park near Dębami . The promotional event included the presentation of good craftsmanship of befriended regions and regional food. To make the picnic more pleasant and diversified, Polish-Slovak bands that performed on the Ustrzyki stage were engaged. The event contributed to the promotion of the cultural heritage of both partners. It was also a great opportunity to break down language and cultural barriers.
• Promotion , which included interesting publications, which were then translated into two languages (English and Slovak) and served as a free promotional allowance as part of the project at a tourism fair. Thanks to the implementation of the project, such publications: a richly illustrated promotional album, "wydzieranki" with a map of the town and commune, a tourist guide to the commune of Ustrzyki Dolne and others.
• Organization of the Sports Day in Giraltovce with the participation of representatives of the partner cities Ustrzyki Dolne and Giraltovce. The event was attended by high school students from both cities who competed in two disciplines: boys 'football and girls' volleyball. Four football teams participated in the event (Giraltovce Primary School, Giraltovce Secondary School, Giraltovce Secondary School, Ustrzyki Dolne Primary School) and 3 volleyball teams (Giraltovce Middle School, Ustrzyki Dolne Secondary School, Giraltovce Primary School)
