Participation in the project activities of students from ZSB in Brzozów and SPŠT Bardejov allowed them to acquire specialist knowledge in the field of renewable energy sources and professional skills that are necessary in a dynamically changing labor market. It has benefited not only students but also teachers who developed their professional competences in the field of information technology, renewable energy sources, adapting vocational education and training systems to the needs of the labor market, and the school's ability to communicate with the business world. The implementation of the project also created conditions for establishing economic relations and friendly contacts between people.
The main activities carried out under the project:
- Training - workshops for teachers and local government representatives "What can the school learn from business?" Participants learned about the principles of vocational training in Poland and Slovakia and exchanged their experiences in this topic. They also got acquainted with the trends in the labor market and the expectations of employers for whom the school educates future employees. During the meeting, topics related to the needs were also discussed. and expectations that employers have towards students. The joint discussion and exchange of experiences gave the training participants the opportunity to learn about new directions of education.
- Training for students - "Get to know yourself - balance of skills, predispositions and professional interests" was organized in Poland and Slovakia. The classes were attended by a total of 40 students - 20 from Poland and 20 from Slovakia, who performed a number of tasks and exercises that allowed them to get to know their own predispositions, skills and abilities better.
- Training for teachers on the methods of using Information and Communication Technologies to conduct lessons was organized for 10 teachers on the Polish side. It was aimed at increasing the digital competences of teachers, which will ultimately contribute to the development of skills among students. Training participants were acquainted with new methods of education with the use of digital tools and didactic tools available on the Internet.
- Comprehensive training for the installer and designer of energy systems was organized in Poland and Slovakia. The participants of the training were students and teachers (10 in each of the partner schools) from ZSB in Brzozów and S.PŠ.T. Bardejov. The training covered the preparation of PV installation projects and the installation of photovoltaic systems with the use of professional equipment. It ended with an internal knowledge test and a certificate, thanks to which participants can take a professional exam that gives professional qualifications.
- A study trip for project participants was organized to producers of electricity from renewable energy sources (hydroelectric power plant in Solina, photovoltaic farm in Lesko, wind farm in Rymanów and wind farm Galicja Hnatkowice-Orzechowce). The participants also visited and attended the laboratory of Renewable Energy Sources of the Rzeszów University of Technology. At the end, there was a meeting with a representative of Bruk-Bet Solar, a producer and distributor of photovoltaic panels. The aim of the trip was to strengthen professional, communication and entrepreneurial competences and to summarize the results of the acquired knowledge and competences of the project participants.
