Architectural objects and natural sites located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and the Preszów Region have created a tourist product called: "Trail of UNESCO objects". It consists of 15 sites together with places inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It made it possible to prepare a concise tourist offer and contributed to strengthening the tourist competitiveness of the borderland. The project also assumed the preparation of a virtual walk around UNESCO attractions, which was created using over 60 spherical panoramas in 360-degree technology. In addition, publications, workshops, seminars, and open-air painting were integrated marketing activities aimed at creating a new, alternative tourist offer of the Polish-Slovak borderland, based on a new cross-border tourist product.
The main activities carried out under the project:
Creating a new tourist product - the task was to mark directions to UNESCO sites by adding signs with the inscription UNESCO to the existing road signs and to issue a publication promoting the new tourist product Following the Trail of UNESCO Sites on the Polish-Slovak border.
Creating an e-product in the form of a virtual walk . A walk along the trail of sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List can be taken in churches, churches, the historical center of the town of Bardejov, the Spiš castle and unique natural areas located in Podkarpacie and Slovakia. Objects that can be seen on the website are churches and churches in Radruż, Chotyniec, Smolnik, Turzańsk, Blizne, Haczów, Ladomirova, Bodrużal, Hervartov, Keżmarok and panoramas of Bardejov, Stużica, Havesova, Rozok, Vyhorlat. The walk enables a virtual tour of the tourist gems of Podkarpacie and eastern Slovakia, each of which is extremely valuable and slightly different.
Promotional activities for the new tourist product - as part of the task, a conference was organized for about 50 participants, representatives of partners and people from the tourism industry. During the conference, issues related to the implemented project, issues of monument protection and tourism marketing were presented. There was also an open-air painting on the Slovak side for about 10 artists from Slovakia and Poland. A three-day field training workshop for around 20 participants was also organized, during which local tourism leaders, including tourist guides and tourist information staff, were presented with the new cross-border tourism product through e-product presentation, publications, painting work and a field tour of the facilities.
