Increasing the quality of vocational education in the cross-border area

The project partners set themselves the goal of improving the quality of cross-border specialist and vocational education through, inter alia, increasing the competences of teachers and students and enriching the educational offer combining theory with practice with the use of innovative teaching tools. Joint implementation of tasks in the form of courses and trainings by partners from Poland and Slovakia opened new possibilities of coherent connection of the education system on both sides of the border.

The main activities carried out under the project:

  • Courses and vocational trainings "Flair bartending course" and "Health coaching training" for students and teachers on the Polish side. Eight people from Slovakia and 16 people from Poland participated in each of the courses. The aim of the course was to improve professional competences, acquire knowledge desired by employers, which will undoubtedly contribute to greater competitiveness of the participants on the labor market.
  • Courses and vocational trainings "Creative cuisine and" Oriental flavors "for students and teachers on the Slovak and Polish side. 10 people from Slovakia and 6 people from Poland participated in each of the courses. The participants gained knowledge that is groundbreaking in gastronomy and very positively perceived by restaurateurs. In addition, they expanded their practical professional competences, and this will allow them to meet the requirements set by employers in the future.
  • "Słowacki from the kitchen" - learning Slovak and Polish. A total of 54 participants took part in the language courses. As part of the task, equipment for a language workshop with an interactive monitor was also purchased.
  • The cross-border event - "Regional tastes of borderland" was carried out in a hybrid form, ie stationary at the Gastronomy and Hotel School Complex in Iwonicz-Zdrój and in an on-line form. As part of the event, a conference and a presentation of local exhibitors with regional products / healthy food were also organized. The employers also took part in the meeting. Students, in turn, had the opportunity to present the skills acquired during training / courses. 130 people from Poland and 50 people from Slovakia took part in the event.
