Improving the quality of specialist and vocational education of the School Complex No. 3 and the School Complex No. 4 in Jasło and Spojena Skola in Svidnik.

Project activities were a response to the real problems of cross-border specialist and vocational education and the cross-border labor market. The students improved their professional qualifications and acquired new competences directly related to the professions obtained at school, as well as those that are adequate to the needs of the cross-border labor market. Raising key competences will undoubtedly increase the possibilities of further professional development.

The main activities carried out under the project:

  • The "Barista" training was held at the School Complex No. 3 in Jasło and at Spojena Skola in Svidnik. During the training, participants from the Polish and Slovak groups connected with each other on-line. Students acquired knowledge and practical skills concerning the history of coffee and its types, methods of collecting coffee, processing, selection and storage of beans. During the practical part, they learned how to brew and prepare various types of coffee. After completing the training, students took the exam and received certificates of completion of the course in Polish, Slovak and English.
  • The "Carving fruit" training was held in Spojena Skola in Svidnik. It was attended by students from ZS3 in Jasło and students from the school in Svidnik, who acquired knowledge and practical skills in the field of making vegetable and fruit decorations and decorating dishes and banquet tables. After completing the training, students took the exam and received certificates of completion of the course in Polish, Slovak and English.
  • Study visit and workshops on the Polish side. The visit was attended by 15 students of the profession of tourist service technician ZS No. 4 in Jasło, during which they learned about the tourist resources of the Jasło and Krosno poviats (Museum of the Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka, Glass Heritage Center in Krosno, Carpathian Troy in Trzcinica) and presented them with practical operation of the hotel and restaurant "Imperial" in Jasło. The "Tourist geography" workshops were held at ZS No. 4 in Jasło and at Spojena Skola in Svidnik. The workshop was attended by 15 participants from ZS No. 4 in Jasło and 15 students of the Spojena Skola Commercial Academy in Svidnik participated online.
  • Study visit and workshops on the Slovak side. The visit was attended by 15 students of the Spojena Skola Commercial Academy in Svidnik, during which the participants learned about the tourist resources of the Svidnik area (Vyhliadková veža na Dukla, Skanzén ľudovej Architektúry Svidník, Udolie smrti Kapišová, Aqua Rhutenia, the indoor bazén and the kúpalisko im Svidník) hotel and restaurant in Svidnik. The "Marketing of tourist services" workshops were held in Spojena Skola in Svidnik and in ZS No. 4 in Jasło. The workshop was attended by 15 participants of the Spojena Skola Commercial Academy in Svidnik and 15 students from ZS No. 4 in Jasło online.
  • Workshops "Key competences in specialist and vocational education" were held at the Center for Ecological Education in Ożenna. Their goal was to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of the meaning and application of key competences in specialist and vocational education and on the labor market. The workshops were attended by a total of 60 students from ZS No. 4 in Jasło, ZS No. 3 in Jasło, Spojena Skola Commercial Academy in Svidnik and Spojena Skola Hotel Academy in Svidnik.
