The use of e-tools in creating new tourism products is becoming more and more popular. In order to meet the expectations of tourists, as part of the project, the partners developed 4 new applications (e-products). The Carpathian Guild, the Treasury of the Lubaczowska Land, the Sobieski Treasure or the Secrets of the Carpathians are four unusual LARP games, using quests or augmented reality, offering an attractive way of visiting, while at the same time being an unusual form of tourism and promotion of the region while maintaining intact the cultural and natural heritage. At the end, a festival of field games was organized, which included tournaments, games and activities with the participation of all project partners.
The main activities carried out under the project:
- Development and implementation of the historical geocoin and board game "Carpathian Guild" . The game is about finding and deciphering clues hidden in the public space related to the historic trade route in the Polish-Slovak borderland. The game is divided into 8 independent tasks consisting in finding and scanning with the application 4 QR codes hidden on the most interesting tourist facilities of the borderland. As part of the task, a monopoly board game based on historical Polish-Slovak trade traditions was also developed. The game promotes valuable cultural and natural heritage - its plot, just like the plot of the geocoin game, is based on historic places and objects. 8 types of collector coins were also pressed as an incentive to participate in the geocoin game.
- Development and implementation of the geocoin game "Treasures of the Lubaczowska Region" by adapting 8 existing guests in the Lubaczów Region to give them a more attractive form. The plot of the game is based on historic places, and its route runs through interesting natural areas, combines elements of scout stalks, field games and modern technologies, and its culmination is finding a treasure in the form of coins. To encourage tourists to participate in the game, 16 types of coins were minted, which show graphics related to the places depicted in the game. Each participant can receive 16 coins.
- Development of the LARP and geocoin game "Skarb Sobieski" . The game is based on the heritage of Jan III Sobieski in Poland and Slovakia. In an extensive game, players are tasked with finding the treasure of Jan III Sobieski. The treasure is a chest with 50 coins located in public space. A series of clues, puzzles, anagrams and ciphertexts lead to the treasure. QR codes lead to the places and need to be scanned on a mobile device. The rules of the game are similar to those in the "Carpathian Guild" game. As part of the task, 8 different types of coins were pressed for the participants of the game.
- Development of the "Mysteries of the Carpathians" geocoin game, which consists in finding and decoding clues hidden in the public space in order to find a mysterious Carpathian treasure. Numerous clues, puzzles, anagrams and ciphertexts lead the participant to the treasure. You can get to the treasure only after finding all the clues. The mechanics of the game are similar to those of the Carpathian Guild game. 8 different types of coins were pressed for the participants of the game.
- Organization of the 1st cross-border festival of field games and new technologies in tourism in the Lubaczów region in several locations due to the specificity of the festival (participation in field games, LARP games, geocaching and geocoin).
