By loving dance and living by dance, we express ourselves - this was the motto of the participants of dance workshops carried out as part of the "Aleja Dańca" project. The activities were aimed at creating a space where artists from Poland and Slovakia could speak one universal language - the language of the body. The project included, among others organization of the Weekend for Dance in Krosno, i.e. dance workshops, a night marathon of dance performances and an exhibition of dance-related photos. Much emphasis was placed on the integration of the borderland community, which was sealed by the creation of a Polish-Slovak dance group. Promotion of the cultural richness of the Polish-Slovak borderland was also possible thanks to the "Summer Dance Workshops".

The main activities carried out under the project:

  • Organization of the "Weekend for Dance in Krosno" event , which was a feast for dance lovers. Dance workshops for Polish and Slovak groups were organized. During the "Weekend for Dance in Krosno", an exhibition of dance photos and a night marathon of dance performances were organized, during which young people had the opportunity to integrate through joint work and play in a large Polish-Slovak group. There were also 3-day photo workshops where interested people could learn the secrets of dance photography. A total of 290 people from Poland and Slovakia participated in the planned cultural events. An album entitled. "A dance of images, an image of a dance".
  • Creation of a Polish-Slovak dance group consisting of 48 participants   - Polish group (24 dancers) and Slovak group (24 dancers). As part of the workshop activities, there were two joint dance rehearsals under the supervision of choreographers, in which Slovak and Polish participants of the project participated. The first one took place in Slovakia, and the second one in Poland, combined with a dance show. The above events were an opportunity for joint work of dancers, choreographers from Poland and Slovakia, exchange of knowledge and insights, and joint consultations on the show being created.
  • Organization of summer dance workshops, during which project participants (32 people from Poland and 16 people from Slovakia), under the watchful eye of a Polish and Slovak choreographer and the show's main choreographer, learned dance routines, perfected the dance technique, worked on ideas for the choreography of the show and integrated themselves.
  • Polish-Slovak dance show and project summary . The #Human dance show was held at the RCKP Performance Hall in Krosno, with the participation of dance groups from Poland and Slovakia. A total of 48 dancers performed, while the audience was 567 people. The dance arrangements that made up the #Human show created a kind of stories presenting various situations and emotions, which, combined with music and multimedia, are intended to make viewers aware of what situations young people face in today's world. The spectacle, which is a kind of summary of many months of work of Polish and Slovak dancers, was well received by the public, which certainly had a positive impact on the subsequent awarding of the project "Avenue of Dance" as "Polish-Slovak event of the year 2017". During the event, there was also a vernissage of the exhibition "Dance in Photography", during which photos were presented printed in the framework of presenting the broadly understood subject of dance. At the end, a meeting summarizing the project was held with the participation of project participants from Poland and Slovakia as well as invited guests. The meeting was attended by 100 people, including dancers, choreographers, representatives of project partners and local media, and invited guests. The participants of the meeting discussed, inter alia, about the potential possibilities of further cooperation on the basis of the created dance material.
