Developing creative thinking skills, developing teamwork skills, using modern technologies in job search, industry-specific approach to learning foreign languages - these are the elements of education that are most lacking in the educational offer on the Polish and Slovak side. The implementation of the project through a series of planned activities (a series of trainings, meetings, career counseling, career planning workshops) resulted in filling the educational gap, thanks to which students of selected vocational schools on the Polish and Slovak side were provided with knowledge and skills that will allow them to find their place on the markets work.
The main activities carried out under the project:
- The series of trainings in Poland and Slovakia consisted in organizing five trainings on: team work (5h), looking for a job in the network (5h), online safety (5h), self-presentation without stress (5h), Technical English (60h) ). In order to be able to conduct language training, the studio was equipped with portable language learning kits, which will also provide the possibility of conducting training in the future in various specialist and vocational schools of the Polish-Slovak borderland. A total of 553 students participated in the training.
- Integration meeting of Polish-Slovak youth. Let's get to know each other closer . During the organized event, both students and tutors could exchange experiences related to practical and specialist education and establish closer contacts. There was a lecture, sports games, a meeting with a traveler and a meeting with career advisers. 200 people from Poland and Slovakia participated in the integration meeting.
- Professional counseling . During the integration meeting, career counselors conducted a questionnaire to assess the professional predispositions of the meeting participants, and on its basis individual consultations for students at schools were prepared. The actions taken by career counselors, the analysis and the results of individual consultations were summarized in the scientific publication entitled READINESS FOR PSYCHOSOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF YOUTH. 150 students participated in the consultations.
- Career planning workshops PLAN YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER WITH A COACH were conducted by professional staff, coaches, practitioners and academic teachers. The meetings were attended by a total of 244 students from the Complex of Economic Schools in Rzeszów, the School Complex in Sieniawa, the School Complex No. 1 in Sanok, the School Complex No. 5 in Sanok, the School Complex in Oleszyce, the Secondary School Complex No. 5 in Krosno, the Complex of Food Schools in Rzeszów, the Complex of Automotive Schools in Rzeszów, the Complex of Vocational Schools in Dynów and the Complex of Schools of Continuing Education in Rzeszów. Students listened to the introductory lecture and took part in a 2-hour workshop.
- The FOTKA Z POGRANICZA photo competition promoted the Polish-Slovak border area. 75 people took part in it, sending about 250 photos. As a result of the commission's evaluation of the works, 3 prizes and 3 distinctions were awarded. The best works took part in the exhibition organized at the WSI-E student club.
