Polish-Slovak cooperation is gaining momentum – new projects in the Carpathians!
New Polish-Slovak cooperation projects!
Local governments and organizations from Poland and Slovakia are launching joint projects that strengthen cross-border cooperation, develop tourism, and protect the cultural heritage of the Carpathian region.
Today, at the district office in Krosno, further agreements were signed for the implementation of Polish-Slovak projects under the Interreg Small Projects Fund.
Planned initiatives include:
- international art workshops in Stropkov and Jedlicze,
- commemorating clergy persecuted during the communist era through the creation of the Carpathian Trail of Steadfast Priests,
- historical reenactments and educational events related to the Carpatho-Dukla Battle,
- development of infrastructure for cycling and horseback riding in the border region,
- development of via ferrata climbing routes,
projects related to the protection of sacred heritage, including the modernization of the organ in Załęże and sacred music concerts in Prešov. These activities will create new tourist attractions, cultural events and educational initiatives that will strengthen ties between residents on both sides of the border and allow for a better understanding of the region's shared heritage.
