What the beneficiaries say about the cooperation

on the implementation of the project "Modern faces of borderland culture"

The implementation of tasks during which modern technology is used allows gaining extensive experience in creating unconventional tools to promote the border region. Its basis is religion, tradition, history, that is, cultural heritage. Such activities are helpful and inspiring in the implementation of subsequent projects, and also influence the building of mutual relations, which translates into the economic development of the borderland.

Ernest Nowak

Mayor of the City of Zagórz

on the implementation of the project "In the heart of the Carpathians - the border that connects"

The partners meetings have always become something more than just a joint implementation of the adopted plan. The spirit of the Carpathians revealed its magical power very quickly, thanks to which even those from very far away immediately felt like welcome guests at the common wat. Because this is how the Carpathians work, they are mountains that connect, and the border between the Eastern Carpathians and the Western Carpathians, even though the "border", is there only to meet there.

Maria Michur-Ziemba

Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Economy of the Marshal's Office of the Podkarpackie Province

on the implementation of the project "Nature in the neighbourhood - Polish-Slovak cooperation of border national parks in the field of education, promotion and nature protection of the Eastern Carpathians"

Our National Parks are one of the most valuable refuges for large predators, for which the border is no barrier. The situation is different with regard to the inhabitants of the border areas. The implementation of the microproject gave an opportunity to change this. Together, we have developed the tourist infrastructure that provides access to both areas through cross-border routes and new attractions in their vicinity. We also conducted joint trainings and workshops, which resulted in the exchange of experiences, new inspirations and acquaintances!

Head of the teaching department, project coordinator, Bieszczady National Park
